Installation

Installing hardwood flooring is easy!

Laying a self-locking RealLOC hardwood flooring requires no special skills. Make sure you have all the necessary tools and give due consideration to the other conditions important to installation: the floor should be level and the ambient temperature at the right level.  The humidity levels should not be too high or low. A hardwood floor can be of the floating type or it can be glued onto the subfloor. Because gluing is a relatively complex operation, we suggest that you rely on a professional to do the job.

Both the Upofloor RealLOC hardwood floors and the tongue-and groove flooring glued around the edges are easy to install. Installation proceeds smoothly and is quickly completed. The floor is ready for use immediately after installation and requires no further treatment since the surface is prefinished at the factory.

Stringent quality control ensures that all the hardwood flooring boards have accurate dimensions and are exactly compatible. More detailed installation instructions are found inside the package. Make sure you go through the instructions carefully before installation. When installing a hardwood floor over floor heating, the preparations should begin two weeks before the actual installation.
