LCA- Life cycle analysis of the Upofloor hardwood floors

LCA environmental profile calculation comprises the manufacture and transportation of raw material, manufacturing of the hardwood floor as well as manufacturing and transportation of the packaging material. The calculation has been implemented with the calculation program created by the Scientific Research Center of the Finnish State (VTT) and the basis for the calculation is the document (Anon 2004) "A method for preparing environmental statements of construction products and evaluation of the environmental impacts of buildings". Environmental impacts such as green house gases, emissions forming oxidants and emissions causing acidification have been weighed according to the DAIA-method.
